About Teachers Platinum Credit Card
The HDFC Bank Teachers Platinum Credit Card is a premium credit card designed exclusively for educators, offering a range of rewards and privileges tailored to their unique needs. Although new applications are no longer being accepted, existing cardholders continue to enjoy its full suite of benefits. The card comes with an annual fee of ₹500 plus GST, which can be waived entirely upon achieving annual spends of ₹50,000 or more. Cardholders earn up to 3X Reward Points on every ₹150 spent, subject to an annual cap of 2,400 Reward Points, along with a special bonus of 500 Reward Points credited on Teacher's Day every year on 5th September. The card also provides a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions between ₹400 and ₹5,000, with a maximum waiver of ₹250 per billing cycle. Up to three lifetime-free add-on cards are available for family members. Through PayZapp, cardholders can earn additional CashBack on utility bills, mobile recharges, and shopping across 200 or more brands. The card also offers up to 50 interest-free credit days from the date of purchase and EMV Chip Card technology for enhanced security against unauthorised transactions, making it a practical and rewarding financial companion for teachers.
